The whole carrot counts

We use every part of the carrot—from root to greens! The freshest, sweetest parts become the babies, sticks, and chips you love, while the tops find new life as fertilizer. Talk about tip-to-tops eating!

1. Carrot tops
& greens
Seriously, we use every part! The green tops are left in the field as natural fertilizer—helping to grow even more carrots!
2. Carrot Peels
Did you know the outer peel of the carrot is loaded with fiber? These peels are sent to a separate plant and used as an ingredient in sauces, seasoning blends, baked goods and more.
3. The “sweet spot”
The sweetest, freshest and crunchiest parts of the carrot are used to make the Bolthouse Fresh products you know and love!
4. Everything else
Any parts of the carrot that are too large or too small to make your favorite cuts are repurposed in a variety of ways, from baked goods, to juices and even back into the earth as fertilizer!
